I firmly believe a Forensic Type Audit would find flaws in SLohA's Books. It is all about following the money trail.
A Special Forensic Auditor is needed IMO.

As a PS to anonenvironmentalist's question about criminal acts of board members, here is an exerpt from an attorney blog generally addressing this question:
"...board members are typically only personally liable for HOA matters if they breach a fiduciary duty to the HOA. There is therefore no basis for a suit against an individual board member unless the plaintiff successfully shows that the board member acted with negligence, willful misconduct, bad faith, or outside the board’s authority."
One can come to their own assessments about the actions of individual's board directors' actions with regard to the KCNetwork scam.

Thank you for your answers to my questions.
Committing wilful misconduct and usurping their authority as board members--absolutely a resounding YES!
They have been and still are doing this without any regard to their true parameters as board members.
Another example of this is when they, (and i am including mgmt. here) harass residents for absolutely no valid reasons whatsoever.
And, how are we going to get a forensic audit accomplished? We have only been needing one and asking about one for years, but to no avail.

And, how are we going to get a forensic audit accomplished? We have only been needing one and asking about one for years, but to no avail. One owner or a group of owners would have to finance a Forensic Audit. Attorney Bar bra St age Esq. recommended that it was needed a few years ago. You have to follow the money trail, and it is a tangled web. Aprox. Cost: $5,000 to $12,000. If misdeeds are found early during the audit, the cost would decrease. The auditor's findings would be turned over to the Attorney General's Office in Tallahassee, they would then continue with the audit investigation. Please correct me if I have this wrong.

Owner(s) will have to foot the bill with no chance to recoup the expense of an audit. That is why we have not had one nor will we ever have one, unless some owner with a bag of money to spare wants to undertake the project. And even then, it is uncertain that there will be enough evidence to convince the AG to prosecute.
