No logical thread but I'll just re-post the info on slresort.net this morning:
Message close Hurricane Dorian Updates Aug. 30 - 9:00 AM - As you are all aware a very powerful hurricane in approaching the east coast of central Florida. There is still a great deal of uncertainty about the path that the storm will take but it appears as though the Lake Wales area will be impacted. The S-bag Hurricane Preparedness Committee has taken action. Street captains are in place. The Clubhouse and Memorial H all are being prepared to shelter residents who are unable to find shelter elsewhere. The maintenance staff has made preparation by removing loose items and securing property. Fuel and water supplies have been topped up in case services are lost. We will do our best to keep you updated as the storm approaches.
I would like to see a little more detail here about pet shelter and other preparations from the "Preparedness Committee". Last hurricane had a lot of confusion and misunderstanding.
Hopefully, it will not be necessary to have a dedicated and extended thread on the hurricane!

Additional updates: it seems strange the the progress of this storm is So SLOW that frequent updates are not really needed!
From slresortnet:
We are anxiously following the track on weather.com from Rio Dell, CA and hoping that the predicted northerly turn happens 'sooner than soon'!
