The cellphone providers have been desparate to find a way into the hearts and minds of the "over-60's" market and, when they finally begin to make inroads, along comes pranksters who get us all skittish again! An ad was jury-rigged to look like a new Apple smartphone offering named the "Wave". If I must doubt Apple, is there anything left to believe in?! Here's a short article that appeared online!

The warning, for the vast majority of people, goes without saying. But it appears some owners of Apple's smartphone reportedly fell for a fake advertisement promoting a new feature on the latest iOS 8 operating system, according to Opposing Views.
Mischief makers at the notorious online message board 4chan cooked up an official-looking announcement showing off the cellphone's brand-new “Wave” technology.
"Wave will become automatically activated when you update to iOS 8. You can now Wave-charge your device by placing it within a household microwave for a minute and a half," the publicity stated.
Under the headline "How Wave Works," it claimed iOS 8 contained "new drivers that interface with your device's radio-baseband allowing it to synchronize with microwave frequencies and use them to recharge your battery."
