Here is a cut 'n paste of the latest email on this from Polk County. The hearing originally scheduled for Oct 16th was continued until January 15, 2015, in order to afford the opportunity for returning owners of S-bag property to have a voice in the hearing process. Prior to that, a pre-hearing "informational meeting" meeting will be scheduled, which several owners, and our attorney, have requested to attend.

Here is the latest update from Polk County Code Enforcement regarding the field visit of Nov 24, 2014: A few notes: 1- It was discovered that the communication antenna was NOT requested by Polk County. The antenna was probably requested by Bb St aib for reasons known only to him. (In my opinion, Bb St aib is attempting to represent his equipment as ham radio equipment and the antenna may be seen as supporting that use.) Bb St aib, by agreeing to install a repeater antenna, became a member of a volunteer group of the Amateur Radio Emergency Services, a group who recruits volunteer ham radio operators as an auxillary short wave radio communication source during wide area outages. Bb St aib is the only ham radio operator in SLR. 2- If THIS is the antenna referred to in the November 19th meeting agenda, the motion was stated oddly ie "to approve installation of a CERT (Community Emergency Response Teams) communications radio for use during emergencies, as requested by the Polk County Board of Health". The timing of this motion does not make sense if the antenna was already installed months ago. Why is it being motioned months after the fact? And, what does the Board of Health have to do with anything? A written inquiry has been made requesting verification of the antenna installed, costs, requesting party and need to add an additional 20 feet to KCN's business equipment which is currently in violation of Polk County Building Code. 3- An antenna AND multi-antenna bracket was observed and photographed on Sat, Nov 22, being installed on the Storage Lot tower. Mr. St aib was present on the site. The mamager reported "no new antennas--only replacement equipment". So which new antenna was THAT one? 4- Mamager also "PRESENTED THE PLANS FOR THE TOWERS AND SAID WORK IS BEING DONE WITH LAND DEVELOPMENT TO GET NECESSARY APPROVALS SO THEY CAN MOVE AHEAD WITH PERMITTING." This brings up several troubling issues: "Why is Melonknee involved in presenting Bb St aib's tower plans to Polk County and working on Bb St aib's project when she is supposed to be accountable to the Board to serve SLR?" It has already been well-established that these towers are not owned by SLohA-notwithstanding that the Board has been using owner money to pay for work, repair, insurance related to the trespassing commercial business. Now, Owners are footing the bill for the mamager to service KCN's application process for these unpermitted structures and zoning violations! 5- The updated Violations Summary shows the last note was made long ago on Oct 11, 2014 and that the second engineer dropped the job. This is the note made by Land Planning: It appears that, contrary to Mamager's statement that work was ongoing, the last note made was 6 weeks before that and no engineer wanted to touch the project and get involved with attorneys. Before that, an informational meeting will be held and owners are invited to attend. The sponsoring owners' lawyer will be in attendance at the public hearing. The lawyer has, in addition, filed a claim for damages against Tower Hill insurance for breach of covenants of the deed restrictions by its client, SLohA. |

Is this why the Polk County Sheriff Department made calls to S-bag this past week? To visualize illegal activity being conducted by our manager? Just what is she profiting from the misinformation and possibly illegal actions? Ever wonder why she and the Board are one? It always goes back to the old statement: " Follow the money".

It is unknown if there is a relationship between the heightened Polk County Sheriff activity lately in S-bag and Management/BOD involvement with KCN's business. Except it was reported that there was copper stolen from the nearby cell phone tower(s); perhaps that is the connection? When I passed the Sheriff's patrol on the 23rd, there was a truck and activity at the American tower site on SR60 and SLR entry road.
It is certain that there are MANY unanswered questions which will not be answered until there is a public forum where individuals will be subject to scrutiny and be held accountable for their statements. Something that does not exist in S-bag.
The first informational/organizational meeting will be conducted in early Jan 2015 and the first public hearing is scheduled for Jan 15th.

An informational meeting has been scheduled as a "pre-public hearing" fact-gathering session--it will be held in Bartow on Friday, Jan 9th, at 3pm. Attendees will be KCNet, MANBOD, Polk County Land Planning and Polk County Code Enforcement. It is open to all; if you would like to attend, there will be cars going and people willing to transport. Polk County has advised that there will be no public hearing on Jan 15th, as previously scheduled.
The only action to be taken on that date is the Code Enforcement Investigator will request a 60-day continuance.
