OWNER UPDATE, February 17, 2016
SLohA Board of Directors
Meeting Summary
· The clubhouse lift station pump #1 has failed. Authorization was given for its replacement by Stwd Elctc at a cost of $5,467.00.
· An additional expenditure of $950.00 was approved for clubhouse lift station pump #2, which had already been authorized, bringing the total cost to $5,467.00. The contractor is Stwd Elctc.
· Red Cross certification will be provided for resort staff on basic first aid, CPR and AED operation for the cost of $1,870.00.
· President Clf Jnsn thanked the three directors, Stv Suthrd, Rgr Blingz and Bar bra murksberry, who are leaving the board as their term expires. Clf also thanked the SLR community for its support during his tenure as president.
· In his Organizational Committee report, Chrls Schlz reminded owners to have their consent documentation in as soon as possible. The Special Meeting for Revitalization will be at 9:00 AM, March 2, in the clubhouse. Consent forms will be available to owners at this meeting before the final count. With the revitalization process almost complete, a motion was approved that the Association discontinue efforts for a second opinion.
· Frns Sm all, Election Committee, said SLohA election results will be announced at the Annual Meeting, Saturday, 9:00 AM, February 20, in the clubhouse. Memorial H all will be closed Friday, February 19, for the ballot count by election workers.
· The board amended the association Standard Operating Procedure #22
regarding use of the clubhouse. “The clubhouse, or any SLR facility, is not for rent. Only clubs or events sanctioned or approved by the SLohA Board of Directors may use the clubhouse, or any resort amenity, as an entertainment venue with the intent of selling tickets to the general public.”
· The maintenance shed in the storage area will revert to its original purpose as storage for resort assets to be fully utilized by the Physical Plant Manager and staff.
· No action was taken for a wall addition in the SLR manager’s office.
· A larger mantel to be temporarily installed for a Women’s Club nativity scene at Christmas was approved.
· No action was taken on a Women’s Club request for assistance with trash disposal, electrical usage and additional storage space for Granny’s Attic.
