Question, Now Who Picked Up The Bill For SLohA Board Meeting Personnel Protection ? We do not know who requested the peacekeeper; it could have been an owner or a director or Stmbug Ixx. In Jan 2014, when I, Gngr and Lra scheduled a parkwide meeting for owners about revitalization/lawsuits and received reports of possible attendance/disturbance by BOD + cronies, I called Polk and requested police presence during the meeting. They accommodated and did not charge me. |

This is new inclusion in the Board report and a long overdue and welcome improvement in communication. While the summary is much better than nothing, in the absence of reading correspondence into the record during a meeting, the full texts of all Owner correspondence should be posted on the new website. SLohA has virtually unlimited storage on the new website and several persons are inputting content so it shouldn't be a big deal.
Unfortunately, the Secretary is being told half truths again by Stambaugh's Toneesha. Number 1--MY correspondence-- totally wrong when she summarized that my records request was handled by Toneesha! This records request has been refused and remains UNFULFILLED. The upshot of Toneesha's "stated" refusal is that the records, which include payroll records, have been mixed in with the "public" records open for all members to view. Her conversation begs that the privacy of payroll records preclude her from making public records available to me. My argument is that it is not my fault that Miss Management--who worked for Stmbug Ixx--did not segregate the personal from private during the digital archiving process and, the burden must fall to Stmbug Ixx to find a way to fix what was botched back in 2013 and open up member records for inspection.
This is an easy excuse to refuse records (especially sensitive ones) to owners and there is no protection or exception for SLohA under the law for this administrative wrinkle. Owners--both under FS617 and FS720--are entitled to their records. Period. IF SLohA was now subject to FS720, I would have already filed a legal complaint and SLohA would have been ordered to produce the record, pay all my court costs AND a penalty of $500 (which I would add to the SNAP fund). But, we currently have expired covenants and are NOT subject to FS720. It appears that SLohA is taking advantage of the document "timeout" which will end if/when revitalization is approved by Tallahassee. There is no provision in FS617 to take SLohA to court over refusal to release records.
Toneesha's final email to me was Feb 15th: Ms. Tg,This is hogwash; I did not broaden my request to ALL archived records; my original request stated EXACTLY what records I wanted to identify and the years. The target year is in the possession of SLohA because docs were provided to the attorneys during discovery in 2015--but these records are being refused!Note that there is no documentation that the state was ever asked to review SLohA Consent/Ballot and therefore one item of the records request was satisfied by the denial of a record. Another lie. I have no idea what she is referring to as a "legal cease and desist letter..." This "state approval" was referred to in the Jan 2016 Draft Minutes posted on the property. A copy of those Minutes is posted on this forum.
I replied to Toneesha on Feb 15th:After hearing or receiving NO REPLY back from Toneesha, I wrote the Board on Feb 19th which was the subject of the Correspondence Report. This letter is posted in its entirety under Board Meetings and Minutes>>2016 Feb 17 BOD UNOFFICIAL Minutes.
THAT is what Tummy refers to as Toneesha "handling" my request. It remains an open records request and I will follow up a written correction to the correspondence document which mistakenly states that my records request is closed. It is not. My records request remains open and refused by MANBOD.

This was passed out at the last Board meeting. Is it true? Suggestion For the person that has complained about everything S-bag for the last six years, let me offer this solution.
You should write a letter to Pam Bondi (Attorney General for Florida) and tell her you have complained about the Board of Directors, the Management Company, individuals owners, road repairs, sewer repairs, lateral repairs, Memorial H all, tennis courts, swimming pool, boat dock, stop signs, internet towers and you have even brought a law suit against your neighbors and you can't get the people to like you.
Be sure to tell her that you have a web site and you have been telling the world, (in your own words), that you are captive to a greedy, incompetent management company who repeatedly involves trainees, sociopaths and unprofessional providers in our business affairs and life. Tell her you feel the hate and resentment from having to live among hateful S-bag neighbors and a greedy, vindictive proxy management company for a gutless board. Oh, and be sure to tell her that you get so mad at board meetings that you have blood squirting from your eyes, like a horned lizard.
Please remember to tell her about all the misleading, deceitful, vindictive, divisive and defamatory information that you have been posting on your web site.
Pam Bondi is probably not interested in all of the above but I do know that it is against the law to hold people against their will and she surely would be interested in that. So make a list of all the people from S-bag that are not allowing you to leave and send her a copy and also one to Sheriff Grady Judd, being that human trafficking is a crime, I would think you may get their immediate attention.

I am sure that, being the towering intellect that you are, you are aware that Pam Bondi does not get involved in homeowner associations unless there is fraud and embezzlement or worse. All else is a private affair just like the police treat homeowner disruptions as civil affairs. Neither will get involved in our little peccadilloes. And for the record, I have never complained about people not liking me and I have never stated that people "are not allowing me to leave". I have many good friends here and I like living in S-bag. I must say that I preferred your Mothbusters efforts over this inane post. But I approved it anyway  |

If it was passed out at the meeting--and I am not sure that it actually was or if so, who would be interested in it--it totally negates the message delivered by the new president, leery listerine, who opened the meeting and spoke at some length about proper decorum of the meeting participants. Presumably, that would include not only the owners in the audience who have been egged on by past boards to rudely boo their neighbors while they speak and clap mindlessly on cue, but to board member cronies and owner-bullies who sneak around sewing ill will and rumors. Although this writing/handout behavior is consistent with D-Bag's past 'hit n run' CHUG posts, spontaneous demonstrations of righteousness at meetings and KK table handouts, I do not know for certain WHO or even IF this silly post was handed out at the meeting. If leery listerine has any hope of restoring some kind of order and dignity at meetings, he must also reign in board "behind the scenes" misbehavior. Nobody is deterred by "police presence" as it has been established over and over that these kinds of problems are S-bag's civil problems and not in the domain of protection of person and property criminal activity. Behavior change starts at the top and must be reinforced--not enforced-- consistently, fairly and every single time. |

Does anyone have information about the new Management contract with Stmbug Ixx? I am curious about any increase in dollars..... With our management team trying to keep the tall tales straight, which is a lot of hard work, just maybe a P at on the back would be a good enough reward.
I was thinking about change in SLohA, and the one thing that keeps popping up in my brain, we really do need a change in Counsel Services. The present Law Firm has made many uninformed decisions. It is apparent this Law Firm is learning on the job, at the S-bag Owners expense. I know we can do better, but the real informed Law Firms only play by the Rules of Law.
IMO that is what we need at the present, "A Fair & Balance Counsel".

I cannot find the "Official March Board Minutes". Have the New Board Members taken time to read their Official Duties as a BoD Officers. I know most do not take the time to read their responsibilities as Board Members. The current time line for Official Business post is unacceptable. What ever happen to the Open Door Policy?
Is the Board afraid that the owner/residents can not handle the "Truth". Just my opinion, but your Closed Door Secrecy approach only makes one distrust the Board to an even higher degree. Plus the outright lies stated by SLohA counsel, in regards to the Revite Pkg. does not help your credibility as Leaders. Plus you had several occasions to condemn the Lies told by SLohA's Legal Counsel, but the Board made the decision to say nothing.
So as usual we have to wait for The Official Monthly Board of Directors Meeting Minutes.....
You do have 2 SLR Websites at your disposal, so that can not be an excuse.....

Here is the watered down, unsigned and unattributed "Owner Update". While this is a nice idea while the board is emailing each other for input into the content and expression of the "Official Minutes", it should be followed shortly by the Minutes. After all, there is no place for the board to hide its actions since the meetings are attended by discerning owners and recorded. The long delay gives the impression of scrubbing the Minutes and further subjects the board to perhaps undeserved skepticism. For heaven's sake, the board has more advisors and assistants than Carter has liver pills! You would think they could get the Minutes together in a couple days!
At least two things are missing; the President's message about meeting decorum and the announcement that the "Towers are legal!" but SLohA was having problems with "engineering". We now know that the TOWERS ARE NOT LEGAL ie NOT PERMITTED and the problem is not engineering; it is a failure to fulfill the requirements of the permit which are to have a licensed contractor sign off on the construction of the towers. We are all aware that the towers were constructed by Non-licensed workers and theoretically, Polk County's permit requirements can never be fulfilled. As of this minute, SLohA will be on the hook for any and all liability for property damage and personal injury involving these unpermitted structures because insurance will not cover us for unpermitted hazards maintained on our premises. (And I don't believe there is any insurance in the first place and management refuses to assert and document otherwise.)
Hopefully, the Board will get its act together and start posting Member business in a timely manner in the future.
