Board Meeting Minutes, January 20, 2016 9:00 A.M., SLR Clubhouse
DRAFT – Pending approval, SLohA Board of Directors
Directors present – Rgr Blingz, Tummy Blkbrn, Clf Jnsn, leery listerine, Bar bra murksberry, Chrls Schlz, Frns Sm all, Stv Suthrd and Jade Rite.
Also present were Chap Mc Click, SLR Manager and Toneesha Shrodr, Stmbug Ixx, Inc. The meeting was called to order at 9:00 A.M. by President Clf Jnsn. Bar bra murksberry gave the invocation which was followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.
The board approved the December 16, 2015, meeting minutes.
The meeting agenda was approved unanimously following a correction by Stv Suthrd who withdrew a motion listed under Treasurer’s Report.
Chap Mc Click gave his manager’s report. It will be incorporated into the official minutes, posted on official bulletin boards in the resort and the SLohA website.
In his President’s Report, Clf Jnsn thanked the many volunteers who are working on the annual election, revitalization and other community activities and said they’re a great example of the people who live in S-bag Lake Resort.
Vice President Jade Rite initiated a new “Wish List” for possible improvements to the resort. Her first three suggestions are:
Shuffleboard court improvement
Lighting in the front of the clubhouse
Siren for storms
Jade asked owners for their opinions on items for a new wish list.
Tummy Blkbrn, Secretary, read correspondence addressed to the Board of Directors.
Dyeann Clementson, 63 Beaverkill, regarding key access to the SLR maintenance shed for Granny’s Attic volunteers. Tummy reported on the beginning of bingo on Friday nights in the SLR clubhouse. She thanked the Bingo Committee for their dedication in keeping the game available to residents.
Stv Suthrd presented current SLohA financial information and gave a detailed explanation of the budget and assessment process and water billing issues. Stv reminded owners that all SLohA financial reports are available to them at the office, posted on the SLohA website and that he’s available to answer questions about specific details.
1) Chrls Schlz reported on the Organizational Committee’s efforts in revitalization. He thanked volunteers for their help in preparing and delivering documents to owners. If owners have any questions or concerns with the revitalization package, they should contact the office. There is a special green marked ballot box in the office for the revitalization consent documentation. It needs to be returned by February 24. The Town Meeting for revitalization is Wednesday, March 2, 9:00 A.M. in the SLR clubhouse.
D Brnd, Organizational Committee, provided additional information about revitalization.
Frns Sm all reminded owners to return their ballots for the SLohA annual election to the office by 12:00pm, February 19. Election Committee volunteers will tally the votes that afternoon. Results will be announced at the Annual Meeting, February 20, in the clubhouse.
leery listerine, Communications Committee, said the new SLR website, www.slresort.net is officially live. Owners may register for login access on the website or wait until detailed fact sheets with individual login information are distributed with the next water bills on January 22. Under old business, directors discussed clubhouse use in reference to two reservations for concerts arranged by a private individual residing in the resort. No action was taken.
In new business, there was an informal consensus among directors to allow Granny’s Attic volunteers from the SLR Women’s Club to have key access to the maintenance shed in preparation for their annual sale on January 22.
With no further business the meeting was adjourned at 10:05 A.M.
