President’s Message
What a whirlwind this last couple of weeks has been, as we settle in as your new BOD!
First, I would like to thank all the owners for the many well wishes and congratulations which have been and directed toward me and the new Board of Directors. It is encouraging and empowering to know that we have such enthusiastic support.
Second, I think we should congratulate ourselves on the overwhelming success of our Revitalization Campaign. You all rose to the occasion to see that your desire was expressed and others were encouraged to express their opinion by submitting their consent forms.
A 77% approval is outstanding!
Many thanks to the Organizational Committee for the countless hours that they have devoted to the process. And thanks as well to all the concerned owners who travelled through the park to make sure that every last consent form found its way to the ballot box.
As the Revitalization effort works its way through the process, your new Board has turned its attention toward dealing with other issues, some that are ongoing, others that have arisen in recent weeks.
There is much that will have been accomplished between the time that I am writing this and the time that this April Express reaches its readers. The pace becomes somewhat panicky as we try to wrap up important business before many of us have to head home for the summer.
This has been watershed winter for SLR. We have confronted serious cH allenges and have asserted our determination to protect and preserve the values that have endeared this resort to all of us.
Our hearts are heavy as we say farewell to our S-bag family and many of us return to our summer homes. But we part filled with optimism and excitement as we look forward to our reunion in the fall.
Have a great summer!
