Before or after the purchase of the transformer? My guess is quarter million--after. IT wants the expensive transformer and that's what we're gonna get by golly!

Darn.. I thought it was budgeted to cost $150,000. What Happen? We really need to find out the total cost.. :-(

if $150K was what they said the total actual cost would be--one actually needs to multiply that by 3 or 4 to get the total FACTUAL cost

One of the big problems in SLR is people repeating rumors , its even worse when you add them to a public forum. Miss Manners says if you don't know what you are talking about please get the provable facts or just don't repeat it .

It's truly a shame and (more than likely) a sham when we, as residents, are not given the total costs of what each of these projects are--and if they had to take monies from the reserves to finish them.

Oh yes--we will know one of these days! It is OUR financial information and we have a right to it. The state of Florida will arbitrate a complaint if records disclosures are denied or unreasonably held captive by money demands. (The Statute just changed AGAIN on that provision due to continuing abuses by HOA's!)
All of the cost of both the Annex and Boat Dock were to come out of Reserves. I don't know why everything is such a big secret--no wonder the rumor mill is constantly churning. Owners paid for these projects and have a right to know the final price tag despite the fact that both are probably more than triple the original estimates. (Can't return 'em for a refund!)
If these figures are not disclosed voluntarily, perhaps an Official Records Request should be submitted for every check written from Reserves over the past 6 months! This is all on 's software and would take maybe 10 minutes to pull up, push a button and print/email. (Or schedule an inspection in Winter Hayvn in case wants to charge $$hundreds for the info).
Probably not a bad idea anyway to see what checks have been written AND $monies$ transferred out of RESERVES. Information is not forthcoming For A Reason. It could be a very practical reason from 's point of view. We just don't know the reason(s) yet.
