Hello and good morning everyone, I hope you all had a great weekend!
The Red Quill drainage project has been completed. The sod has been laid and excess dirt has been moved to the maintenance area. Temporary irrigation has been set up for the greenway until the sod has taken root permanently.
Last week during our Security Staff, meeting one of the hot topics that arose was speeding and ignoring traffic signs in the resort. A couple vendors were mentioned as offenders and their supervisors were contacted to correct the issue. However I would like to remind the residents to keep safety top of mind also. Please obey the posted speed limit of 15 mph and stop signs.
Another issue that was raised was night travel with no lights. Whether it is walking, golf carting, or driving a licensed vehicle, after dark please have proper lighting to make yourself visible to others. Even though there is less traffic in the summer time we don't want to lose sight of safety.
I am very pleased to see the number of people logging into the www.slresort.net website consistently rising. The website is a great way to keep in touch with what is new in the resort even if you miss a meeting, or a Koffee Klatch. If you Hayvn't logged in already I would encourage you to check it out.
