(in alphabetical order)

I am a retired owner-operator truck driver of 20 years. I have lived here at 83 Silversides since April 2014. I also own 2 Gngr Quill and 85 Silversides.
Dave Dunk Key
13 Red Quill Circle
My wife, Cheryl, and I were both born and raised in NE Iowa, spent our working years there, and came to S-bag to escape the northern winters. I was a chemistry and physics teacher at Waukon High School for 32 years while Cheryl was a speech and language para-professional for 32 years. We have been married for 54 years and have 2 children and 5 grandchildren.
In our Sm all community (4000 residents) I was a scout leader for 20 years and I served 10 years on the city Planning and Zoning Board. In 2008 I served a 1-year interim term on the Allamakee County Board of Supervisors. I have also served as a member and officer in the local Jaycees, Lions and Kiwanis, holding state offices in both the Jaycees and Kiwanis.
I have no axe to grind. The resort has been run well in the past and is being run well now; I want to continue in that vein. Residents are friendly, cooperative and, for the most part, they get along well. Our covenants keep the resort neat and orderly - hopefully, that will continue when they are reinstated. I would be open to any ideas that would contribute to bettering the community and its future.
Jhn GodWyn
15 Blue Quill Circle
I moved to S-bag Lake Resort in May 2016 after retiring from the oil and gas business in Houston, Texas. I was familiar with S-bag Lake Resort after spending the previous eleven years visiting my parents, Jhn and Patricia GodWyn, here on holidays.
Since becoming a Saddlebagger, I have become the editor of The Express and have taken over the editing responsibilities for the phone book. I am also a member of the Men's Club.
Following is a brief biographical outline of my experience as a Board Member.
In May 2010, I was elected to the Board of Directors of the Villages on Grnt Home Owners Association. The Board represented 283 members. I was re-elected in 2013. During my four years on the Board, I served as President, Vice President and Secretary. I was responsible for the monthly Village newsletter. cont'd...
In August 2010, I was appointed to the Board of Directors for the Wildwood Shores Property Association, in Conroe, Texas, serving as Vice President. The Association represented 983 members. I actively supported the Board Charter and assumed responsibility for various tasks that needed attention. My tenure was a two-year term.
I served on the Board of Trustees at Bering Memorial Methodist Church in Houston, Texas, from 2010 through 2014. I was responsible for all aspects of the physical property. I also ran the bookstore and managed the sound systems.
I served on the Board of Trustees at the Cypress Historical Society in Cypress, Texas, from 2011 through 2013. I served as Secretary and was responsible for the monthly newsletter.

49 Wood Ruff Way
I was an elementary school teacher back in Ontario, Canada for 31 years. During those years, I served on countless committees and boards related to my profession, as well as on many committees and boards related to our church back home. My wife Nunsee and I moved into a condominium community in 1998 and since that time I have served continually on the Board of Directors there.
Nunsee and I became owners in S-bag in 2007, first in a shared arrangement, and then at 49 Wood Ruff Way where we currently reside for 5 months over the winter.
My entry into leadership at S-bag happened almost by accident when a few of us in our neighbourhood started the Booster Club in the resort, in an attempt to raise morale, at a time when many were upset about the contentious atmosphere in S-bag. The response to that campaign has been amazing and the Booster Club continues to sell its shirts and signs aimed at promoting pride in the resort.
As a result of the recognition that I gained as part of that campaign, I was asked to serve on the Board of Directors after the passing of Peet Brdun in the spring of 2015. I agreed to finish the rest of 2015 as a director and in February 2016, the newly elected Board approved my appointment as President of the Board.
I have learned a great deal, over the last year and a half, as part of the Board. I have served with some hardworking and devoted fellow Board Members. I believe that we have accomplished some good things. I would very much like to continue that work as a member of the next Board of Directors if you, the owners, choose to re-elect me.

I have worked on the air, radio and TV as News Director and Anchor, and behind the scenes as an engineer. I retired as Regional Engineering Manager of numerous large and major market facilities. During the last 27 years at Susquehanna Radio, I shared and oversaw multi-million dollar facilities. I also hired Chief Engineers and IT managers.
I have been on "Radio Ink" magazine's list of the most admired engineers and I also helped create Indiana's Amber Alert program.
My wife Cyndi and I live half of the year in Indianapolis where our children and grandchildren live.
