Jade Rite has resigned as President of the SLohA Board of Directors due to a family health crisis. Jade will continue to serve as a board member but she feels she can't devote her full attention to the responsibilities of president.
With positive thoughts and prayers, please remember Jade and Clyde Rite, their daughter, Kim and their entire family.

SLohA Board of Directors Leadership
September 24, 2015
With the recent resignation of Jade Rite as president of the SLohA Board of Directors because of a family health crisis, several owners have asked how this affects the leadership structure of the board. First of all, Jade Rite remains a director. She only relinquished the duties of president. The SLohA by-laws provide procedural guidelines when an officer of the board resigns.
Article VI, Officers, Section 5. Each Vice President sH all have such powers and perform such duties as the Board of Directors may from time to time prescribe or as the President may from time to time delegate to him. In case of the absence or inability of the President to act, any Vice President, at the direction of the President or of the Board of Directors, may temporarily act in his place.
Article VI, Officers, Section 8. Any vacancy in the office of President, Vice President, Treasurer, Assistant Treasurer, Secretary or Assistant Secretary, or any other officer or employee for any reason whatsoever may be filled by the Board of Directors who may elect a successor to the vacant office at any regular or special meeting, which successor sH all hold office for the balance of the unexpired term.
