2017 Election and Budget Results

                                            Annual Membership Meeting
                                            Saturday, February 18, 2017
                                                9:00 a.m., Clubhouse

The annual membership meeting of the S-bag Lake Owners Association was called to order at 9:00 a.m. by leery listerine, President of the SLohA Board of Directors. Everett Ray gave the invocation which was followed by the Pledge of Allegiance, led by Clf Jnsn.T Roof, Chairman of the Election Committee, established a quorum by certifying that of 787 lots, a total of 517* ballots or 69% are represented in person or by proxy at the meeting.

Tummy Blkbrn read the minutes of the last annual meeting held February 20, 2016. Chrls Schlz moved that the minutes be accepted, seconded by Hrld Pray, and unanimously approved by the membership in attendance. Any reports prepared by directors are filed with the minutes in the official records of the association.

T Roof announced the election results. The total number of ballots cast was 540 out of 787 eligible lots, owners, entitled to vote. 23 ballots were discarded for incomplete information, missing proxy card or incorrect designated voter for the property. Total ballots counted were 517* or 69%.

Election of Directors for a 3-year term:
Jhn GodWyn 410 votes Max Turner 205 votes
leery listerine 379 votes Earnest Danley 78 votes
Dave Dunk Key 367 votes

Election of Director for a 2-year term:
Nunsee DerRandy 471 votes

Ratification of the Budget for Fiscal Year beginning April 1, 2017 until March 31, 2018:
Yes 444* No 69 Abstain 6

Ratification of the Allocation of the Capital Expenditures/Replacement Fund:
Yes 451 No 56 Abstain 13

SLohA Board officers for 2017-2018 were elected and announced to the membership.

President leery listerine asked for comments from the owners in attendance. One person spoke. With no further business the meeting was adjourned.

*A re-checking of the ballot totals for the 2017 election indicates that 520, rather than 517, eligible ballots were counted. The tallies of votes for the election of directors announced at the annual meeting were based on 520 ballots. There is a correction to be made to the number of “yes” votes for the operating budget, 545 instead of 544. Therefore, the numbers reported for the votes and abstentions for both the operating and reserve budgets were also based on 520 ballots.
