Board publishes 7/2/17:
"This committee will follow the direction of the SLohA Governing Documents in monitoring the dimensions and configuration of all new homes being proposed for entry into the resort."
Will someone point out to me where in the governing documents there is any mention of new homes dimensions and configuration?
The governing documents specifically FORBID permanent type structures and restrict lot use to recreational-type vehicles.
The only authority for siting homes in the park is Polk County Building Dept.
Would someone point out to me any purported authority of the board to say squat or resolve "apparent violations"?
Questionable covenants that may or may not be upheld on appeal and, in any case, do not address any architectural concerns? No authority to levy any kind of fine or penalty for what...NO authority over homes? Seriously??
Here we go again! Are these people nuts? Do the committee members really want to hire an attorney to defend faux actions against Owners and Polk County? Has the $150,000+ lesson of 2015 not been learned? Do SLohA need to spend another 2 years and $200,000 on a lawsuit? Will this Board ever learn to read, comprehend and adhere to the limits of any authority granted by the Covenants?
