I wish YOU good luck; I am sure she and Bth will drag a phalanx of SLohA-retained attorneys with her that owners will pay for. I hope she gets back what she dishes out--payback time!
If not this time, the "incoming" will continue to head in her direction until something hits the target! Look out BOD's- youse could be collateral damage.

6] Discussion of opening swimming pool at 6:30 a.m. Board approved opening pool early with lights being turned on as needed for safety just as for evening hour swimming.
UMM....I don't understand this....we all had to vote to extend the pool hours after sunset, so was that all a waste of time? Was the manbod just manipulating us when they could have just done it like opening the pool earlier?
These guys are as crooked as a Tukker Paaving's edges next to the Dog Run.

1] Tennis Courts. We received 3 bids as follows: Tkr Paving: $95,107.20; Varsity Courts: $130,357.00; Sport Surfaces: $129,900.00. Bids did not include fencing. Yesterday we went back to Varsity Courts and asked if they were to include the fencing how much would it change their bid. [Note: the bid for doing the fencing ONLY [above the cost of replacing the courts] was $21,560.00]. Varsity Courts proposed including installation of court fencing for an additional $12,137.00 for a total of $142,494.00. Discussion. NorleeDee Brnd made motion to approve the proposal from Varsity Courts for an amount not to exceed $142,494.00 for replacement of the tennis courts and related fencing issues. Stv Suthrd seconded motion. Roll Call vote of all present directors voted in favor. Motion passed unanimously.
Why didn't we go with Tukkar Paaving? Manager stated that they did a "QUALITY JOB" after the overlay. Surely everyone can see all the bird baths at each and every intersection on our streets and why not have the same in the "to be repaired Tennis Courts" as well?
I mean, Quality Job and Low Bid is what its all about right? Or is MANBOD admitting that Tuukker Paayving actually did a crapola job for SLR and manager let them get away with not fixing all their mistakes?
You judge for yourselves, take notice people of SLR, its time for a change. Lets get a BOD and new Management company that actually listen to owners and wont accept poor quality workmanship.

Such a rule does not need to be voted on by membership. It is within the BOD's perogative to set reasonable rules and conditions to accommodate desired use of facilities. This is in the Board "Resolution" authority i.e. setting reasonable rules of usage to all Members like "no glass in pool area". Abuse of authority would be "Members can only use the Pool during summer months" which limits an important property right.
"Resolution" is different from IT trying to deny certain facilities to Owners who paid for them and have rules that Members voted on. Like Dbag's Poker Room. This room cannot be legally closed to other Owners' use. It is a limited, common commodity that is open to all Owners with reasonable conditions like "reserving" the space. And the Dog Run/Driving Range/Flyer's Field. These are open areas on common property which are not exclusive and for which Owners have not agreed to limit dogs/owners to an enclosure or identifiable space.
Hard to know what the vote was actually for since I didn't hear it or vote. It could have been a "polling"--you know--like BOD's illegal dual internet ballot earlier this year?

If the BODs & Management join the Pool Walkers Group, would they be Walking Around the Pool Deck or would our Privileged Leaders be Walking on Top of The Water? Just Wondering..

I had a chance to take a close look at all of the Fencing our BOD all voted to replaced. That Fencing at the Tennis Courts & The Maintenance Yard does not need to be Replaced...Period!!
What it needs is some Simple Repairs, a few parts and a Fresh Coat of Paint... Not 1 single Post is rusted though at the base. This is a complete was of Our Money...

It should be reported to Polk County Code Enforcement and let them determine if there is a violation of code. They need a site address or a Parcel # before they can accept a complaint.

Not much about this meeting yet except the drama--a certain Board director shouted "LIAR" at a certain mamager. Not much detail; seemed to have something to do with documentation. The report came from several sources thought to be credible reporters. When the video of the meeting is viewed, the detail will be revealed. This is SECOND "Liar" shouted at IT in several months. The Forum has been shouting LIAR for years. Appears to be going viral. In addition to TWO calling manager a liar, I called manager a liar, the secretary BP a liar and her 2 witnesses liars, to what secretary BP claimed as a 2 minute accosting and assault by my dog as reported to Animal Control. I called them all LIARS on paper in a letter from me and I have the stamped and dated copy submitted to the Office.
I reckon we sH all see who the liars are, I have asked for a Jury Trial and all will be summoned to appear.

I would be happy to make the call if somebody hasn't done it yet, I feel it would be only fair after what DB done to me, not only in person but in front of my community members, all of which I can prove beyond a reasonable doubt and have a list of witnesses to back it up.

In fact, you could save the picture/s to file, then when calling the county get the e-mail address of the person that takes your complaint and attach the pictures of the home and its tower/antennae to the e-mail so that the inspector knows what he/she are looking for prior to arriving in SLR to investigate the complaint.
