Notice on Bulletin Board states, Workshops scheduled as needed, or something like that. Our BOD's do not like input from residents at Workshops, plus they would rather have discussions behind closed doors. Just my 2 cents

Just my 2 cents Our neighbor contacted the office and was told that NO Workshops are on the schedule and probably there will be no further workshops due to the problems encountered at the March 6, 2014 workshop.

What problems? Was there anything specific identified as "problems"? I transcribed the audio tape and there was nothing that was a "problem" in my opinion. Problems of extreme disruptive conduct in meetings will prompt the President to immediately and prematurely adjourn the meeting. This did not occur.
A "problem" that possibly rises to the level of excluding owners from participation would be a civil disturbance involving a weapon or injury to someone requiring the assistance of the Sheriff. Short of that, I can see no justification to cancel workshops because of "some undescribed problem" which has never been brought up by this board to the general membership.

A competent Board would work through the problems. There are two types of Board members, the ones that run and hide and the ones that will stand up and fix community problems.
This current board has done nothing but cause the very problems that they are now running and hiding from. This Board needs to do the right thing and step down and retain a little dignity. If not, then they face public shame and humiliation as long as they stay seated.
These Board members cant even get the trash company to live up to the contract we all pay for and expect to be fulfilled. Doing nothing is obviously what these BODS are good at, they've all gotten what they wanted and now they will get what they deserve.

The Board does not like Work-Shops, Members ask to many pointed questions, and they hate that. They tend to look uninformed about the issues. They also have put their foot in ones mouth, on more then one occasion. Like, your damn right we followed her, or the heck with our attorneys advice, we are going to do it and let the chips fall were they may. Plus all of the Work-Shops have been recorded, and documented for future use maybe. Every day our BODs keep adding another nail in their coffin.
BY FAR, THE WORST BOARD OF DIRECTORS IN SLR"S HISTORY !!! JA

Our BODs DO NOT LIKE THE HEAT FROM SLR'S OWNERS WHO SPEAK OUT!!!
SO WHAT DO THEY DO? CLOSE THE WORK SHOPS TO ALL OWNERS......
Remember this time period, was very embarrassing for Our Leaders. Some even resigned from the Board. Worst BOD Every in SLR's History! Now they go under Ground to do business, what a joke.
They Need To Get A Life and Man-Up.....

Not too much there that seems alarming enough to cancel workshops. I think this BOD is just fearful of criticism and is in hiding.
I had forgotten about the note "..personal threats via internet... Will take legal action". Yeah, right. Huff 'n puff stuff--ENuff already from youse tuff guys!
