Agenda 2017Dec13Agenda.pdf (63.62 KB) A YEAR has gone by...and the Board has still not ratified the agreement entered into between Virginia stab and leery listerine. This agreement binds SLohA to a private individual vendor/owner to perform certain costs and services performed related to it private business conducted on SLohA common property. This agreement was entered into on behalf of owners by leery listerine without conflict of interest disclosure, without member discussion, without a reading of the final proposed contract into the official record without discussion and vote of the Board, without opportunity for member input and comment without providing members their statutory right to object to the contract per F720 and REFUSE it.

Here are the Minutes: 136minutes.12.13.17BOD Minutes Note Voting ....pdf (74.57 KB) First and last--WHAT is going on with this Board to allow someone who does not own property in POLK County--much less in S-bag--to run for a board position? Dick Dain is 100% correct. There is actually NO NEED to have an election because the number of vacancies appear to be filled by the 3 qualified candidates. GRAFF is not an owner of a S-bag parcel and is not eligible to serve on the board--unless a deed has been executed but not yet recorded in the public record that only the board knows about. And if that is the case, it should have been clearly stated at the moment that Dick Dain made the comment.

Hopefully, the ballot has been prepared correctly for EACH of SLohA's 3 subdivisions to vote SEPARATELY on the reduced voting threshhold.
Hopefully, there is no mistake as happened with the 1st revitalization and the Board learned that S-bag is THREE separate communities and each community must vote to amend its OWN Declaration of Covenants. This lesson cost SLohA members TENS OF THOUSANDS of DOLLARS in the invalid revitalization #1 and having to do a second revitalization.
Did they learn? We sH all see.

GRAFF's name is now indexed on the Polk County Property Appraiser website.
It was NOT there and searchable when the post was made but has apparently been now updated to reflect an ownership. There is no doubt that GRAFF is an owner of S-bag property.
That means a contested director race! I look forward to learning more about all candidates!
