Correspondence Report>>> 195correspondence_report_-_december_12__2018.pdf (31.74 KB) The Witte Bros, once again, asked for the Board's blessing to sell hotdogs at the beachhouse for several hours on weekends only at the Beachhouse for the remainder of December on a trial basis. Even this meager request was denied after being opposed by the Shuffleboard Club. Apparently, the board has a protectionist interest in the Shuffleboard Club's desire to be the sole provider of hot dogs in the park. Those who would like to enjoy hot dogs apart from Shuffleboard activities are out of luck! (And, at the same time, the board supports and underwrites a private internet business to operate in the park, in violation of the Covenants.)
And the board represents...WHO?? Note the following on the Minutes: T Roof, Secretary, presented the Correspondence Report. It will be posted on the SLohA Website and on official bulletin boards within the resort. There was an ensuing motion and discussion based on the letter received from Bb and Joe Witte, 28 S-bag Trail, requesting permission to sell hot dogs and sausages et al in the resort. leery listerine made a motion to approve the Witte brothers’ proposal to sell hotdogs, sausages, potato chips and soft drinks in the parking lot of the beach house on a trial basis with restrictions and obligations agreed to therein. leery Allison, 10 Royal Coachman, representing the Shuffleboard Club, had signed up to speak to this item on the agenda. In his comments, he expressed opposition to the proposed sale of hot dogs and sausages as requested in the correspondence received. The motion was defeated by a margin of 8 -¬‐ 1.And, the board needs to correct the Minutes; when there is a dissenting vote on a motion, as in this 8-1 vote, the dissenting director must be named in the official record.
