J im passed away peacefully in the care of his family. He was a fierce guardian of his family's well-being and they were devoted to him. He will be missed by all who knew him and his good humor, generosity and support.
Speaking for myself, Jm-along with his wife Jew-D, were very supportive of me. As a single lady with a many occasions for troubleshooting things around the property, I recall Jm's generosity and perseverance in helping me with a wiring problem under my house after a DISH technician screwed up the wiring scheme! He brought over his Elctc wiring meter thingy, pulled away the skirting under the house and crawled under the crawlspace testing each connection until he found the fault in continuity. I was amazed at his persistence in solving the problem and have never forgotten this.
Over the years, I valued his friendship and relied on him to be an active and inquiring voice for others in the Bag who did not choose to voice their questions about governance in HOA. J im was energetic, steadfast and focused on asking hard questions to leadership and seeking facts about the issues that were important to ALL the people who live in the community. Jm was an intelligent force to be reckoned with and a courageous member of the Association, drawing others into thoughtful discussions of the importance of community involvement in governance affairs. I admired his courage and tenacity.
I especially miss him during a season that most expect to be happy. But, I am not happy in Holidays 2018. For me, there is no joy in his absence from our lives. Those who loved him must be comforted by the many memories of the energy and passion that he brought to the people who embraced him! RIP Jm.
PS It is hard to see in this photo, but there is a little squirrel sitting on his right shoulder.
