Those who have been around for while may be noticing some changes on the forum, particularly my catching up with posts. I have also ceased my expanded storage plan with Proboards, so my posts may be expanded as I am now limited to 3 attachments per post. I will not be posting photos because they simply take up too much storage.
It has been a cH allenging winter in North Coast California! This are more natural disasters than many geographic areas and its primitiveness is both attracting and repelling. In the winter, we have slippage and landslides which blockade the few roads in and out of here, hurricane wind gusts, rain rain and more rain, river floods and cold, foggy days (and more rain). In summer, the temps spike at 72 degrees, the rains stop, droughts begin and the sun shines nearly every day. But the ground debris and trees are DRY DRY AND DRY and the threat of fire is always present!
This winter, for the 2nd time in 3 years, we were forced to evacuate our home and flee to safety due to the Eel River, which runs adjacent to me, flooded to record flood St age. We had Elctc and water interruptions and were displaced with a relative for almost two weeks. Our home required repairs and we are now back in. So, I am taking a breather and getting the forum up to date.
So the bitter was extreme high stress and expense, but the sweet is that I still have my peeps near me, a nice home here and in Florida and will soon be hitting the road again to my home in S-bag.
