What's troubling about the concrete pile is that SLR employee/s used our time and money to saw cut the large piece of driveway that came from a resident . The contractor the effected repairs to the sewer lateral dumped their mess on us and we will end up paying for the disposal of the concrete and the material contaminated by fecal particulate .
When our resources are used/spent assisting contactors it increases the cost to SLR and puts more of our dollars in the contractors pocket. And this is why we hear ''we are short handed on employee's'' , if contractors did a complete and thorough job there wouldn't be messes like this left behind and we would not need to hire out work (maintenance mowing, painting ect.) . All of this is the Managers job to see that its done and done to spec .
Our SLR employees had better pay attention here, I have seen how this plays out, Management says "We are having to sub-contract work our employees should be doing, therefore we will lay off employees and let a contractor to do their work to keep from paying for it twice" . This is not the first time contactors have dumped on SLR , and we continue to shell out money for incomplete jobs where the SLR workers assist them, contractors laugh all the way to the bank when they can leave a mess at a work site and not be accountable and then get more jobs with our workers to assist them .
This is a waste of our Resources and the Manager is responsible for this .

The third picture also has contactor material (dirt) from #29 ST . The excavation for the brick work was dumped on us from the contractor trailer on a Saturday when the contractor had to move its trailer that was left in the lane of traffic .
The contractor is now causing SLR to pay to haul away their mess from a job where ''Donations" were given to do this job. Personally I think the responsible clubs need to donate to have this dirt removed , our Reserves or Operating budget should not be used to further assist the contractor .
In this situation we (SLR) are actually donating money to the contractor above and beyond the initial cost of the job.
Again this is a Managerial problem and it needs to be corrected one way or another .

The Mange AND BOD are both responsible for this. WHO is overseeing inept, careless and irresponsible management practices? (Answer: No one)
One would have to look at the job specs to see if "clean up and haul away" was included in the job estimate. I suspect it was a "no bid" (hybrid) job like most work around here since the arrival of the /T gang and there is no estimate, bid or contract.
SLR does not own any equipment capable of picking up all this material and dumping it down at the dog run so this had to have been dumped by an authorized contractor invited by IT.
Like most things around here, it is another half-a**** job completed only to the extent of an acceptable cosmetic condition where it shows. It is shameful that "management" maintains a slum on the back of the property because it is "out of sight".
The cost savings to the contractor who does not have to haul away construction debris and be charged for disposing it-especially when it is hazardous waste-is enough to dump at the worksite if "management" allows it.

I had once asked in writing about why materials where dumped by contractors and the response from the manager was "this is on the contractors schedule, NOT YOURS " .
Of course what followed was SRL shoving all the materials (dirt-wood-concrete ect.) into the same construction dumpster that remained here for several months.
Then SLR had to dig out and separate the cross contaminated contents of the container, this took a few days by the way .. Time and Equipment costs that SLohA had to eat . Leaving job materials behind is very common with Gyppo Contractors , a reputable Company would not even consider day lighting a job and leaving anything behind contractual bid or not .

On last Fri. afternoon, drove by the trash pick-up people who were up at Catskill Circle picking up a huge pile of broken glass--kinda next to the main trail, and was behind a board member driving golf cart back home and saw it also, next thing you know, our own employees were there finishing up mess trash pick-up people left behind; there was evidently a lot of glass and someone complained, it's bad on dogs' paws also, that's what I worry about.

I know all about this place and glass being dropped by the trash truck; I had to sweep a bunch off our street since no one bothered to clean it up--not even one employee did and they drove by it on their way to/from mtce. yard in the back--which another person called it the manager maintaining a slum look in the back of OUR COMMUNITY--this is truly shameful!

Correction: it was this past Tuesday that the broken glass was spilled @ Catskill.

It's a start! At least the broken up old dumpster was hauled out along with the toxic remnant materials of the sewer pipe failure. Why did this situation have to be subjected to public ridicule to be cured? Why couldn't Mange just do her job (maybe too busy ordering new signs)? Attachment DeletedAttachment Deleted

Possibly MANBOD is now aware that IT has been neglectful of the safety and well-being of SLohA employees by failing to partition their designated parking area from an "off leash" Dog Exercise area. Appears that IT is belatedly taking care of business.
Too bad that pool fencing was removed from the property; it would have made a nice barrier enclosure.
It remains to be seen how long the construction debris will sit around before enough owners pressure MANBOD with public ridicule and eventually report the trash to Code Enforcement...
