Attachment DeletedI find it interesting that DBraund breaks rules and his carport contractor is still in the park after 6:30 pm. Double Standard Hypocrite at his finest.

Just another example of "selective enforcement" of rules. If you are a preferred owner, the rules don't exist.

I wonder why Violations Force hatchet man Birdman isn't on the scene like he was 2 days ago @ 5:45pm? I would hope that this contractor is banned from our community and the property owner gets a fine. If not, they will have a tough time doing it to anyone else.
Maybe T can call 911 again?

Measured DB'S carport last night. It is 3 1/2" too tall where it meets the 15'6"" house. By the time it gets to the road it drops to 14'. But who is measuring anyway?

He already got a variance from Polk County for the basement; maybe he has the Building Permits Div on speedial. What next--even MORE dishes and antennas for that business venture he has not made a penny on?

The height of his double wide residents roof has always looked to be over the maximum height allowed. So now we can see it is higher then his carport. Polk Co.& Management most likely gave him a break.

Seriously, you think AK is going to bitch about DB's new carport pitch? With this bunch, it's like the nine musketeers--one for all, and all for one.
He can claim he got proper county permits to put it up, and permit from manager but, if this carport were to be installed on any other: run-of-the-mill/non-board member's/non-preferred resident's house, you can bet manager would NOT approve it.

I believe another resident had checked county records and discovered that this house is NOT a double-wide but a regular built stick-framed house.

I am still waiting to see the first RV-Port. We have a few high dollar motorhomes in SLR. One would think it is just a matter of time, and we will have A RV Port in SLR.

I thought our Manager now, double checks her measurements on all approved structures. Maybe she can only measure horizontal distances with her tape wheel. Just eyeball vertical heights, for close friends. DBs new carport will be even more attractive with a KCN Dish attached on the front.
