I read on the message board @ the Post office that our manhole casings are leaking now. Plans are to dig them up and fix them....AGAIN. Shouldn't professionals be called in on this since we had a crew raise and lower the manholes at least 3 different times in the last few years ?
It seems that this admin. just doesnt give a damn about getting it done right even after 2 or 3 times. What kind of business operates like this?
The time to have the manholes done right was BEFORE the new pavement was layed down. But when the streets are dug up and the sand thrown back in the holes and bags of cold patch are used we will have even bigger problems.
The "quality paving job" as they call it (no matter how piss poor the quality) is already showing signs of running cracks and slippage due to poor prep and a lousy contractor that had no idea what they were doing. In another year it will be time to git-r-done...AGAIN.
Can we afford to keep letting these imbeciles throw our funds at shady deals kickbacks and sub standard contractors ? I say no we cant.

Management will undoubtedly hire its favored contractor du jour to do repairs out of sight of snowbirds whose vision has been obscured with IT-created white-out conditions (lies, disinformation, misinformation) and whose brains have retired. The ones inconvenienced will be the fulltime residents--the ones Management really despises because they are more apt to "see" what is going on and experience management abuse.
Only the people who actually see the "quality" paving job being torn up with a 4th attempt to get the job done right will believe what should be apparent by now--that the Board has abdicated its role to a greedy and incompetent management company and Infants/Owners' job is to keep feeding the monster. Our coffers are a constant and guaranteed source of income for Management and they promise to "execute our reserves" whenever it serves.
By the time the snowbirds return, all will be patched up, more flowers will be planted and the snowbirds will exclaim "The park never looked better!"
