Good observation PB. You bunch could have "done something right" if you would have listened to your constituents that know the rules and what the lawyers said about how you prepared the first ballot.
Giving yourselves a slap on the back after all the mistakes/misdirection's and the extra moneys wasted to "do something right" makes you BODS look like idiots.

That's why I will keep saying that this last election reeks of fraud and ballot tampering.

The only thing needed is a Master Key to the front office locked file cabinet.. The Redbook says the Ballots are to be Secured in The Official Ballot Box, until Election Day, and then in front of SLR's members, the envelope with the proxy card and the Ballots are to be opened, separated and counted on the day of the election. Which is the day of The Annual Meeting. You DO NOT Open any Election Material, before Election Day. You also DO NOT OPEN the Ballot Box until Election Day. SLohA has been doing it wrong for several years now. But that does not make it Right. Just another example of selective rule enforcement. I did ask a election committee person about this change from what The Redbook states. The answer was it takes way to much time to follow The Redbook Rules. The Annual Meeting can start at 4pm or 7pm. so time is not a issue. It is just way to easy to tamper with the Ballots, that are locked for 30 plus days in a Office file cabinet. Believe it or not, but I have 12 or more friends in SLR, not "One" of them Voted Yes for the $100 increase in the 2013/2014 Budget. They all Voted No! Plus the $100 increase is not earmarked for the Water/Sewer Repairs. The Board member who talked about a $300 Special Assessment for sewer lateral repairs at a work-shop, was just blowing smoke. It was a scare tactic to get members to Vote Yes.. The Election Committee is not the problem, they are just doing what they are told. The problem is past and present Leaders of our community not following SLR's Election Rules. It is just that simple.. And That Needs To Change.....

It would be very interesting if this community were to undergo a poll of sorts to see who actually voted "yes" to increase the dues $100 per year, I'll bet you get more NO than YES responses...
