You have endured more from this bunch than any human should have to suffer at the hands of your neighbors. The only person I can think of whose suffering rivals your own is Lorenzo who, though winning his lawsuit against SLohA, lost his job of 28 years because of IT's power agenda and BOD's individual and collective cowardice.
There is now a mountain of written public and private documentation and a clearly-established pattern of abuse by this Board and "manager". The evidence, extending back to 2010 when this pestilence known as a management company arrived and took over, will assist you in having your voice heard and extracting whatever legal punishment comes to the players for their behavior.
The dismantling of evil in SLR will take far longer than anyone hopes and cost far more than anyone dreams--but it will happen and eventually, the owners will get their peaceful community back.

I have gotten several calls from owners up North about their trash stump needing paint, they have asked me to take a look. I did them one better, I took 3 pictures and sent them via email.
Most all that called said they had recently painted the stumps in the last season or two.
This manager HAS GOT TO GO. People don't need the aggravation from this sociopathic bitch that just cant do anything without trying to make people miserable and for no good damn reason.
SLR could have bought paint and brushes and hired anyone to paint them without any hassle or BS from this lot lizard in the front office.
Its time for a change people, her and the BOD needs to be ousted.

Question? Where do they keep the Stump Color Chart, so they can compare the members Stump Color to a Stump Color Chart. How else can they determined a Stump painted two yrs. ago, needs to be painted again. Our old Pres. KL, just painted his Stump after 8/10 yrs. of neglect, plus his driveway was concrete, it was so black, I thought it was asphalt, it also had been neglected for many years. Now that is a very good example of selective violation enforcement. When questioned about his Stump & Driveway, K.L. said he has not had the time to take care of the maintenance. I told him in 8 or 10 years, it is hard to believe he did not have the time. This conversation took place in 2012/2013 on the SLR's Office front porch....... About 3 weeks later he had someone paint and power wash, the driveway and stump. They think they are above the common folks, and the Rules Do Not Apply to them. The absolute worst BODs/Manager in recent years.

I don't understand why this has to be always such a hostile approach from this manager. There are polite and respectful solutions that can solve most problems every time.
I would think that since SLR has hired one employees wife on a part time temporary basis for the past few years and just before the return of all the snow birds that paint could have been purchased along with a few dozen brushes and stump painting could have been accomplished with out all the hostility and waste of our moneys.
Most people wouldn't even notice they had their stump painted if it was done properly.
I fail to see why this rude and nasty attitude from the manager is tolerated, not showing respect to the people in our community speaks volumes to the managers personality. Time for a change, send her packing. When anyone we have on site treats people so badly and causes legal action when there are other more reasonable choices its time to run her our of SLR on a rail.
We own this community and we should be able to discuss any issues regarding the right and proper way to behave to reach the goal of satisfaction and without hate, animosity and anger.
This manager is the wrong fit for our lifestyles in SLR, owners of SLR need to unite and put away their petty differences and do the right thing, and that would be to select our own manager, one that is caring, compassionate and can identify with a low stress happy, friendly environment for all. Instead we have what we have, a hostile takeover from a corporate entity that has no real interest in our community except to EXECUTE OUR RESERVES as Monty Haskins stated when Stamba-ugh first infected our once friendly community 4 years ago. The best way to describe this manager would be to call her a living nightmare, wake up people.

I just spoke with another owner that is north in his home state that received a "paint your stump or else letter" from manager.
He had painted his stump just days before leaving SLR, he called the office and got an apology, this is one of many erroneous letters sent registered mail at out expense that are in error.
What ever this manager is up to isn't the correct way to spend SLohA money. You people want more dues increases? AND a special assessment? continue to be complacent but don't bitch when its too late to stop what's on this MANBODs agenda.

As previously mentioned, this Management Company is all about generating money through the use of owner's assessments for projects contracted with "favored vendors".
It's a pattern. This year, MANBOD is using owner's assessments for unnecessary mailing expenses with the motive of intimidating owners into hiring the MANGE'S favored contractor to remedy imagined or trumped up stump violations on owners' properties.
IT waits until the snowbirds have returned home in the Spring, then spends owner money to mail violations letters to notifiy owners and suggest they correct the violation for a FEE--some of which undoubtedly is funneled to the referring agent. Not a bad idea under the circumstances; SLohA has no authority to fine owners for rules violations. So, MANBOD gets their money from contractor relationships---or sues them.
IT did this last year with her pressure-washing contractor; owners' got violations letters about scuzzy driveways and vinyl siding on their houses.
