I am willing to bet that in order to prevent such property damage in the future this area will be made OFF LIMITS by management.
Any and all residents will be restricted because of one persons foolishness and lack of respect for our once peaceful community. I have never seen this sort of carelessness and willful property damage in the nearly 10 years in SLR.
I suppose everyone will have to be placed on restriction and punished for one persons actions. I would also bet that even though this area was deemed a "Fire Lane" it will have to be blocked to keep any and all vehicle's out of the area and if anyone is "caught" back there they can expect a letter and/or a fine from management.
Funny thing, the wheelbase of the tire tracks seems to match the Security Van. And this area wasn't carved up before Friday night.

We can rule out the Security Van, its side to side wheel base is under 70 inches in the rear of the vehicle.
There was however some partiers on Parson Tom over the weekend, box of Miller Lite by the stump. The out of park guests are no longer in the driveway there. Not pointing any fingers here, just pointing out the facts... Maybe night Security saw a vehicle exit the park in the early hours on Monday morning?

Only a panicked person wanting to create more problems would put up more signs (note to IT) rather than investigate the problem and make a reasonable determination about the identity of the perpetrator and take corrective action. The Gate Access computer log and office sign-in books have recorded all the vehicles entering the park and that narrows the possible vehicles. There are spycam videos of the gate entry if someone entered while the gate was in an UP position, as has been the case in the early AM hours lately (?) Isn't this why we have all these spycams mounted all over the park that no one asked for? (Or were those cameras experiencing "maintenance" or conveniently not operational for some reason? To date, the spycams have been useless in every situation where operation might have yielded useable information.)
MANBOD cannot forbid access to common property unless there is a safety hazard present. They can try to intimidate owners and spend more owner money on ridiculous signs, but that will come to an end at some point and then we can have a community kumba-yah around a fire fueled by IT's signs. Yup, our money--up in smoke!
My first thought was "another sand in the bathroom" setup i.e. evidence of mischief planted by person(s) for the purposes of creating suspicion and propaganda.
The pattern of tire tracks is very suggestive of mischief. The vehicle appeared to have entered through JC's Fire Lane; you can see the straight line tire tracks from that area in the pics. The large tire track of 72-73" is more characteristic of a larger vehicle like a van or truck.
In the second pic, the tire tracks back all the way back INTO shrubbery--which means that the body of the vehicle itself would have been IN the shrubbery about 2 feet--who would do such a thing; seems like a nutty or drunk driver. Is that backing into the pond and is it possible something was dumped from the back of the vehicle into the pond?

You can do a Google search of Comparative Vehicle Width Wheelbase and find a lengthy list of cars-trucks and suv's. I cant copy the link but it shows that a passenger van is right in the 72-73 inch width in question.

This area is NOT A FIRE LANE! When "whoever" said that, it then was promptly proven by one resident who talked to the Fire Department Lieutenant in Lake Wales, who confirmed that it is NOT in fact a fire lane. This was done a long time ago--just as a reminder-this is a recreational area for all residents to enjoy--there is NO fire lane here.
If the sign in logs and camera footage is checked to see who was in here as guest(s) visiting, then the resident who these guests was visiting NEEDS TO BE QUESTIONED.
The questions I would be asking of this resident is what type of vehicle they were driving? And, at any time over the weekend, did one of their guests leave and drive around this area?
I did notice that over the weekend, there were a lot of kids--teenagers, young adults--older than teens, but not of retirement age, that were new faces I had never seen in the park before. It's obvious these people were guests and they should be questioned as to this vandalism. These kids/teens/young adults seemed to be rowdy on the few occasions I noticed them around our park. Then, on Sunday morning, this vandalism was discovered and guess what? THE ROWDY GUESTS WERE ALL GONE! GO FIGURE.
And, yet another question: WHERE WAS SECURITY??? IF THERE ARE CAMERAS IN/AROUND THOSE AREAS, THERE HAD TO BE SOMETHING PICKED UP ON THE FOOTAGE FROM THESE CAMERAS. CHECK THE CAMERA FOOTAGES AS TO WHO CAME INTO THIS PARK JUST BEFORE THE WEEKEND WITH SOME SORT OF PASSENGER VAN/TRUCK WITH WHEEL BASE OF 72-73 INCHES. THINK ABOUT THAT, MANBOD: USE YOUR HEADS AND DO SOME LEG WORK ON THIS!!
I think security should be paying more attention to the outsiders that come in here. I have a gut feeling this was NOT done by any resident(S)--us residents have a great amount of respect for our park and don't like outsiders coming in here trashing our beautiful recreational areas.
Us residents that want to walk down there or ride our carts now have big, deep, muddy ruts to try to avoid as well as look at--and that this damage to all that once beautiful grassy areas, obviously came from some sort of passenger van or truck.
I sure would hope MANBOD be getting involved to get to the bottom of this gross vandalism that was obviously done by some outsider(s) who were no doubt drunk and doing as they please by off-roading their vehicle in our recreational areas that are maintained by our employees.
Why is it that someone or something always has to come in here and ruin things for the rest of us that OWN in here and PAY FOR EVERYTHING? I FOR ONE AM REALLY PISSED OFF ABOUT THIS LACK OF RESPECT AND THE OBVIOUS LACK OF THOSE GETTING INVOLVED TO FIND OUT SOMETHING SO THIS CAN BE HANDLED AND CORRECTED.
It says in our Rule Book that those doing vandalism in the park have to pay for correcting/fixing what they broke/destroyed. Yeah. Right. That NEVER happens.

I would think it has to be a four wheel drive vehicle of some sort, or some type of wide track dune buggy. The ground behind the fence is very soggy, a 2 wheel drive vehicle would have been stuck in the mud. Also take pics of any tire tracks, that may give you some clues. I will be sending the BOD, a "CSI Kit", by over-nite delivery via [UPS]. Do Not Let This Case Go Cold...

On Tuesday night I noticed the Security guy was looking behind the right front wheel with a flash light like there was a problem with the vans front end ie steering, transmission, CV joint. I wonder if the Security van made those spinout circles behind the green pond? Happened on the weekend at night, no body would thrash their own car like that, must be somebody that would know security wouldn't be in the area and hear that engine hitting redline and the tires spinning at 80 mph doing donuts in reverse. That's the only way to spin donuts in a front wheel drive.
I wonder what the front wheelbase is side to side on the office van? I wonder who is on Security on nights on the weekends?

Check the front-end for mud and grass, it would have caked up the front-end for sure...

New Security guy ran over a snake a dozen times and was inspecting his handy work. That is the Official Report from Security. An Eastern Corn Snake was the victim, Harmless.
