I believe we should always recognize positive action. The Ballot Box of the past has been replaced by a modified 4-drawer filing cabinet with letter-sized cutout holes for inserting the ballot. The built-in cabinet lock has been replaced with a keyed Masterlock and gate hasp hardware. This may be an improvement but it is unknown who is in control of the keys and access. I am told that the middle drawers do not provide a continuous collection but each drawer is discrete and ballots must be placed in another drawer when full. One must recognize an effort, no matter how incremental, to provide additional ballot collection and security. Attachment Deleted

This "modified" filing cabinet for the purpose of collecting SLohA's ballots may be a step in the right direction, however, we are all still very well aware of who is still holding the keys to the golden crapper around here.

I also believe we should always recognize positive action, but this "Ugly Thing" is a Step Backwards. This is A True Redneck Ballot Box.... We can spend monies on wasteful Projects, Bldgs, Docks, Fence and many Signs, but we can not Afford A Resort Stye Ballot Box to be placed in SLohA's Front Office... AGAIN MORE HALF MEASURES TAKEN BY OUR LEADERS !!!! I Am Embarrassed; A Piece of Crap is in SLohA's Front Office, for All to See.... What A Great First Impression, For Our Guest !!! Only in SLR, One of a Kind..

My post was an exceedingly rare olive branch to the MANBOD--someone apparently had a moment of unrest about what is being said and published about our election practices. I am getting some flack for being so generous in my description, but what the heck, I am still in a holiday mood and feeling the luv. Truth is this collection receptacle is far below the construction and esthetic standards set for the Mamager's "CatHouse Castle of Ill Repute" around the side of the building. It's homegrown retrofit sends a message of SLohA being run by rednecks who fashion hotdog skewers from garden leaf rakes. Attachment Deleted

Please Note! This is the preferred way to install a Hinge Hasp Lock, the "Hinge Hasp Covers the Screws"..... SLR's "Red-Neck Version, the Screws are Exposed". You do not need a Key to Open the Cabinet, Just a Common Screw Driver will do the Job...
