We are all saddened to learn today that Peet Brdun passed away early this morning. Peet came to S-bag in 2007 and resided on Queen of Waters. He was well-liked by many in our community and was the 2nd person who I met when I moved here. I recall that when I arrived in my motorhome, Peet, without being asked, brought his welding stuff and hat and fixed the retractable step on my motorhome that I had mangled during an encounter with a curb. He also helped me make custom paver cuts on my walkway and let me borrow tools that I needed for jobs around the house. We enjoyed many lunches and backyard deck chats and I admired his easygoing and friendly personality. Surely, his cheerful and agreeable personality helped him get elected to the board, where he headed the new dock project. He was an avid fisherman and somewhere I have a picture of him holding up a HUGE fish that he caught. He spent almost every evening fishing from his boat at the dock. My favorite picture of him is this one>>> which I took right after he took me on a joyride around the park in his new cart! It captures the Big Fun Loving Kid inside Peet that made him so delightful to be around! Peet will be missed and our condolences go out to Donna, who was left behind, and to Peet's family. I hope Donna's sorrow and heavy heart will be lightened by memories of her time with Peet and warmed by the knowledge of the affection that so many people felt for Peet.
