Managers' Report : Hello and Good morning everyone. I hope you all had a Great weekend!
Last week we continued preparations for the season with Jhn making stencils for the lettering on the roads.
The trees overhanging the main roadways are scheduled to be trimmed back but were delayed because of problems with the bucket truck. Jhn made the repairs to the truck and work is resuming this week.
We are continuing to call lawn care contractors for those yards in need of some TLC.
Bth and Shn started repainting of the clubhouse interior this weekend.
The phone lines are down, Verizon is aware and working on them. If you have a guest coming they will need to sign in as usual however the girls will not be able to call you and inform you they are here.
The big news of the week was tropical storm Erika. While it looks we will end up just getting some more thunderstorms than normal, we were prepared for the worst. I was very impressed with the work and organization the Board and staff took on to make sure SLR was ready for whatever the storm threw at us. With several named storms still out there let's not let down our guard, and consider this a good dry run.
With that in mind just a few things of note. In the event of a severe storm we had the clubhouse and bathhouse open and lights on to use as shelter. Weather radios were left on in the clubhouse to provide current updates, the staff had secured all the common areas of items that could be blown away or become projectiles in high winds, and Tummy worked very hard to make sure the entire community was updated and informed going into the weekend.
I hope you all have a great week! Thank you.
