Get your "SLR Boosters" fix. Tee shirts go on sale Monday at Koffee Klatch. $8.00 donation per shirt. Free bumper stickers for all. Asked my buddy to send me one ASAP. Need a good laugh to keep me warm in the chilly North.

Looks like Wood Ruff Way's intoxication party has gone VIRAL! Now they are putting out Grey tee shirts with an alligator on it saying Proud To Be A S-bag BOOSTER. What are we Boosting? And why the big display of signs endorsed by the Board and Management Company? As so called cute as it may seem, it isn't harmless. Think before you wear.

Dear Mr. Floyd, maybe Jethro Tull's "Thick as a Brick" would be more fitting? But thanks for the blast to the past!

It has been said that "We ARE our bumper stickers". These messages of self-expression reflect a large range of political beliefs and personal behaviors. They are the sound bites and slogans of a larger attack culture characterized by degrees of individualism and conformity. Fear and rage boil under the surface but a cute grinning gator brings a nervous smile to our face. Bumper stickers and tee shirts may appear to be an innocuous expression of a belief or preference, but they also signal an allegiance to a larger cause or membership in some group.
Reducing and equating the critical importance of revitalization to a smiling gator and "booster-ing something" offends me. MANBOD should be leading--not cheerleading. They should be educating owners about the benefits and potential drawbacks of revitalization. This is a teaching moment in our history that is being reduced to silly slogans.
At best, they are cute and funny. At worst, they segregate us into worthy and unworthy groups. The intention to divide and pressure to conform is what these stickers and bumper stickers mean to me-a continuing mission to label S-bag into two groups--US boosters and THEM (non-boosters).
If you are perceived as a non-booster (whatever that means) and wear a booster tee shirt, do not be surprised if you are openly cH allenged as I was last year when I was given an "I heart SLR" sticker and then immediately physically attacked by an owner who tried to take the sticker away from me. As the poster above cautioned, think before you publicly display something that could trigger ugly reactions from others.
